How do you get started?

We’ve done our best to make Clara as intuitive and user-friendly as possible, but sometimes things can seem complicated. That’s why we provide here a detailed and comprehensive description of the Clara work flow to help you complete your cognitive assessment with ease.

What should you expect?

  • Set up: get the app & login to Clara (bullets 1-4, approx. 2-3 minutes)

  • Build a digital representation of your world, including people, places & events (bullets 5-8, approx. 15-20 minutes)

  • Conduct the assessment (bullets 9-12, approx. 3-5 minutes)

Okay! Let’s start!

 1. Download the Clara app or go to our website.

  • App - Clara is currently available on the Google Play Store. To download to your mobile device or tablet click here or search “claramind” in the Google Play Store.

  • Web - Click here to go to the Clara website.

OUR ADVICE: We recommend to complete the personal interview on the computer using the Clara website and then switch to the tablet/mobile device to complete the assessment.

 2. Enter the 4-digit code you’ve received from your doctor.

Clara is accessible only by invitation from your doctor. After receiving your 4-digit code (e.g. G6Y8), you may enter it in the dedicated white space and click “OK” to begin.

PRO TIP: You may shut down your browser/app at any time during the interview (expectantly or unexpectedly). All you need to do is type in the same code and you’ll return to your last point.

 3. Confirm your identity.

We want to make sure that it’s you. Click “That’s me” if everything’s alright,

 4. Confirm your location.

Clara takes into account your current location when customizing your spatial orientation assessment. Let us know where you are.

 5. Tell us about the people in your life.

Clara gathers information about your social realm to construct your personalized social orientation assessment. Let us know who are the people in your life and how close do you feel to each of them. Clara may also ask about your wedding day and birthdays of loved ones.

PRO TIP: You can only enter the same name once. If for example both your barber and your brother are named Joe, use their last names or profession to differentiate between the two (e.g. “Joe Smith” and “Joe the barber”).

 6. Tell us about significant events from your life.

Clara learns about the personal events of your life and when they happened to generate a tailor-made orientation in time assessment. If a certain event isn’t relevant to your life you may click “skip”. It may be the case that we run out of suggestions and you’ll be asked to suggest an event that happened a certain time period ago on your own.

 7. Do you know when these public events happened?

Clara combines well-known public events and your own personal events to assess orientation in time. If you have a sense of when each event occurred, give or take 2-3 years, then click “Yes”, if not click “No”.

Example - I remember Steve Jobs passed away in the early 2010s, but don’t remember that it happened exactly in 2011. This is fine, click “Yes”.

 8. Where are these places located?

Now you’ll be presented with a list of cities and towns. For each place please let Clara know if you have a sense of where it is located. Pay attention that Clara is not asking you whether you have been to these places, but only want to know if you know where they are on a map.

 9. You are ready to take the assessment.

Congratulations! You have finished the digital interview and Clara has created your personalized assessment. It consists of three parts - orientation to people, events and places, takes about 3 minutes to complete. You may start whenever you are ready. Remember to answer all questions as quickly and accurately as possible.

PRO TIP: This would be a great time to take a break, drink some water and remove distractions.
